CUCSA Meeting - Travel Information

UCLA Staff Assembly welcomes you to the Fall 2009 CUCSA Meeting. Below, you will find helpful information for your travel needs. If you are flying to Los Angeles, we recommend that you travel to the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). If you are driving, please contact Kyrie Bass to provide your vehicle information.

• FLYING
  
  The closest and most convenient airport to UCLA is the Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). If you are flying and will be arriving before 10 AM, please see the Airpirt Pick-up Information page. Otherwise, below is information about the LAX FlyAway shuttle service.
  
  Direction from LAX
  
  Take the FlyAway bus from LAX to Westwood/West Los Angeles.
  Cost is $5.00 (Cash ONLY, must have exact amount)
  
  FlyAway Westwood Buses operate on an hourly basis on Wednesdays, and on a half-hourly basis on Fridays. To view the Westwood FlyAway schedule, click here.
  
  To catch the FlyAway, go to the Lower/Arrivals Level in front of each terminal under the green "FlyAway, Buses and Long Distance Vans" signs. Each bus is marked with its service location.  Make sure that you board the bus that is going to “Westwood/West Los Angeles”.
  
  UCLA Staff Assembly will have staff waiting for you at the West Los Angeles stop, in front of UCLA Parking Structure 32. Our staff will drive you (and your luggage) to Sproul Hall (to check in for Covel Commons.)
  
  From Covel Commons, staff will guide you to Sunset Canyon Recreation Center Challenge Course for the orientation. For your return trip, staff will drop off delegates at the Westwood FlyAway station.

• DRIVING
  
  If you are driving, please contact Kyrie Bass at kbass@ts.ucla.edu and provide your vehicle color, make/model, and license plate # as soon as possible.
  
  You will be driving first to the parking and information booth at UCLA, located on Westwood Plaza.  For map directions, Google “555 Westwood Plaza, Los Angeles, CA 90095”
  
  At the parking kiosk, let the parking attendant know that you are attending the “CUCSA Conference” in Covel Commons.  The event will be listed on the parking calendar, with parking reservations in Parking Structure SV.  The attendant will provide you with directions to Parking Structure SV (also on enclosed map.)
  
  If you have a university vehicle or a parking permit for your campus, please bring your permit and the parking attendant will issue you a temporary transfer for UCLA, Parking Structure SV.  When you arrive, we will also provide you with a placard for your dashboard which identifies your vehicle to parking enforcement so that you do not have to get a new permit each day.
  
  If you are driving and do not have a university vehicle or a parking permit for your campus, please contact Kyrie Bass as soon as possible.
  
  From the parking structure, walk to the Sproul Hall Front Desk to check in for Covel Commons. 
  
  From Covel Commons, staff will guide you to Sunset Canyon Recreation Center Challenge Course for the orientation.
