  • All-Staff Picnic

    This annual summertime celebration recognizes the contributions of UCLA staff in a relaxed social setting. The event is typically held in Dickson Court between 11:30 AM - 1:30 P.M., and includes a picnic lunch, music and dancing. Attendees are welcomed by the UCLA Chancellor and the UCLA Staff Assembly President.  Complimentary tickets for the picnic lunch are available at various campus locations a few weeks prior to the event date. The UCLA All-Staff Picnic is sponsored jointly by the Chancellor's Office and the UCLA Staff Assembly. 

  • Breakfast with the Chancellor

    This quarterly event is sponsored by the Chancellor's Office and UCLA Staff Assembly. This event provides UCLA staff with an opportunity to meet and interact with the Chancellor in an informal, personal setting. Staff will hear from the Chancellor about UCLA initiatives and goals, and will have a chance to ask questions and dialogue with the Chancellor and other invitees. Upcoming Breakfast with the Chancellor events are advertised on the Staff Assembly listserv and on the Staff Assembly website. Individuals interested in participating in this event must submit a brief application.  Applications are usually available one month prior to the event date on the Staff Assembly website.  Thirteen staff members will be chosen at random from the applicants to participate in each quarterly event.

  • Casino Night

    The purpose of this highly anticipated event is to raise funds that will benefit UCLA staff development through a myriad of areas; from scholarships to seminars. This relaxed and fun event offers staff an opportunity to meet other colleagues from all over campus, and to win one of the many prizes. Through ticket sales and vendor table sponsors, Staff Assembly raise funds at this annual event to support an array of staff scholarships and awards to be presented annually in June.

  • Emerging Research Speaker Series

    This event is co-hosted by UCLA Staff Assembly, Academic Senate and Campus Human Resources to foster community between UCLA Faculty and Staff.

  • Forums

    Staff Assembly facilitates discussion forums to keep staff informed on current system-wide matters.  We serve as the liaison between system-wide work groups, and the UCLA Staff community.  We encourage staff members to participate in our discussion forums to provide input on matters of interest.

  • Outdoors with Mrs. Carol Block: Tour of the Los Angeles River

    This event is sponsored by the Chancellor's Office and UCLA Staff Assembly. This event provides UCLA staff with an opportunity to meet and interact with the First Lady, Mrs. Block in an informal, personal setting. Join UCLA's First Lady, Mrs. Carol Block, for an up-close look at the past, present, and future of our famed (but oft-misunderstood) Los Angeles River. The half-day tour will be led by expert guide Dr. Jenny Price, Research Scholar at the UCLA Center for the Study of Women and Friend of the Los Angeles River, and will include four stops between Los Feliz and downtown Los Angeles.

  • Small Business Resource Fair

    The annual Small Business Resource Fair is one of UCLA’s most effective and proven avenues for supporting the development and growth of business enterprise.  Participation in the Fair provides small business owners with an opportunity to reach over 400 UCLA departments who purchase over $250 million annually in products and services. Additionally, the staff members who attend the fair are encouraged to consider patronizing the represented businesses for personal goods and services where appropriate.

    The Small Business Resource Fair is coordinated by the UCLA Staff Assembly, an organization dedicated to promoting the interests and welfare of all staff members. Staff Assembly offers scholarships for career enhancement and professional growth, enrichment programs, and resource opportunities to UCLA staff members.

  • Town Hall

  • Staff Assembly hosts annual Town Hall meetings to keep staff informed on current campus initiatives and goals. At the Town Hall meeting, the Chancellor updates staff on key topics and take questions from staff.  Don’t miss this extraordinary opportunity to connect with our campus leadership.

  • Toy Drive

    Bring a new and unwrapped toy and help children at Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA during the holiday season. Toy donation barrels will also be available at all upcoming UCLA Staff Assembly Learn at Lunch programs and around campus through December 14, 2012.

    This year’s holiday toy drive will provide a panorama of developmentally appropriate toys, and creative art supplies that children may use throughout their hospitalization, reducing anxiety, and increasing opportunities to be a kid again.  Playing games at bedside, engaging in songwriting activities, and creating artful masterpieces, are a few of the countless activities that medically fragile children at Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA will enjoy because of your generosity and participation in the toy drive sponsored by UCLA Campus Facilities, UCLA Medical Center Softball League, and the UCLA Staff Assembly.  Thank you in advance for your support of medically fragile children at Mattel Children’s Hospital UCLA.

  • UCLA Has Talent

    UCLA Staff Assembly is sponsoring the first-ever “UCLA Has Talent,” which is a campus-wide talent show that celebrates the diverse and rich talents of the University’s employees. The event is designed to offer participants an opportunity to showcase their artistic talents, while promoting staff engagement, camaraderie and the True Bruin spirit. All UCLA staff members are invited to audition for the talent show.

  • VIP Reception with Mrs. Block

    This event is sponsored by the Chancellor's Office and UCLA Staff Assembly. This event provides UCLA staff with an opportunity to meet and interact with the the First Lady, Mrs. Block, in an informal, personal setting. UCLA’s First Lady Mrs. Carol Block and UCLA Staff Assembly invite you to attend a very special event. Mrs. Block will be hosting a VIP reception at a UCLA Women's Basketball or Volleyball game.  The event will be co-hosted by UCLA Athletics.
